Therapist

Reaching out to a therapist can be a challenging first step. I am here to help when you are ready. My goal is to be a support in my client’s life and walk alongside them in their therapeutic journey. I have developed a passion for helping teens and adults to develop coping skills to work through and process day to day stressors.

In therapy my goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment, where each client can feel comfortable to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. When working with clients I utilize cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and mindfulness techniques to help develop a therapeutic style that reflects the client’s needs.

Rachel Potenza

Rachel Potenza

Counselor

My approach to my therapeutic practice is based off Feminist Theory, which instructs us that all human beings are unique individuals who navigate this world in unique ways based on our own beliefs and how we are seen in society.

As a counselor, I do not instruct clients, but work alongside them to address their obstacles and move forward in the healthiest manner. I specialize in addiction therapy, trauma therapy, depression and anxiety. I work mainly with young adults and adults. I attempt to create an open environment where my clients feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts and feelings.

I meet individuals where they are at, and move with them to become who they want to be. I absolutely love helping others become their truest and best selves, which I believe shows in my practice.
